Community Services is committed to maintaining and enhancing our city’s infrastructure, facilities, and public spaces. Through Public Works, Fleet Maintenance and Logistics, and Parks and Grounds, we provide essential services that keep the city clean, safe, and running smoothly.

Emergency Management

The Emergency Management team is responsible for developing, coordinating and leading the City's Emergency Management Program, enabling effective preparation for, and efficient response to, emergencies and disasters in order to save lives, reduce human suffering and reduce property loss.

Engineering

The mission of the Engineering Department is to provide high quality and efficient civil engineering services to the city with regard to facilities planning, engineering studies, and design and construction contract administration.

Finance

The Finance Department manages the city’s fiscal affairs and is responsible for budgeting, accounts payable, payroll, central accounting, fixed assets, internal controls, pension administration, and the annual external audit.

Fire Rescue

The Fire Department works to save lives and protect property through prevention, preparedness, education and response.

Geographical Information Systems

Geographic Information Systems (GIS) is a computer software program that maps and analyzes geographic data.

Unified Services

The City established the Unified Services Division to improve the "customer experience". By combining several aligned functions into one team, and by integrating the functions of the Building Department, Code Compliance Section, Life Safety Services, Business Tax Services, and Resources section, plan review, inspection, enforcement, and resource services are delivered more effectively and efficiently to the customer.
