Our Mission

To provide high-quality, comfortable, and safe facilities for all clients. To meet needs and accommodate for expansion, the facilities staff regularly assess the condition of the buildings, perform regularly scheduled maintenance, and complete reactive repairs to improve our city. Vendor services are also contracted to make more complex improvements and additions. We have developed the following programs to maintain The Palm Beach Gardens Standard for City-owned buildings.

Programs

  • 5-Year Roof Maintenance/Replacement Program - Provides a surface analysis of our roofing systems, notes visible deficiencies, determines estimated useful life, projects future capital expenditures, and provides a 5-year maintenance/replacement schedule.
  • 5-Year Maintenance, Repairs, and Operations (MRO) Program – Facilities staff assess all City-owned buildings, allowing us to identify current deficiencies, immediate and future upgrades, and estimate useful life for all structures and their ancillary equipment. This includes, but is not limited to HVAC upgrades and replacement, indoor air quality improvements, energy management system installation, access control system installation, quarterly scheduled generator inspections, maintenance, and testing, annually scheduled alarm systems inspections, maintenance, and testing, life safety improvements and additions, and several large renovation/construction projects.
