Special Needs Registry
The Special Needs Registry is a program created by the Palm Beach Gardens Police Department to provide our residents and guests the best possible service. Through this voluntary program, officers are able to respond to specific needs and assist our most vulnerable residents.
This program is for any person of any age with special needs. Caretakers or persons with specific needs are invited to proactively provide information that may be used in an emergency or interaction with Palm Beach Gardens Police Officers. The registration is entirely voluntary and is held confidential.
If a person over 18, with a disability has been declared incapacitated, a parent or legal guardian of the person may enroll him or her in the registry with any type of medical condition or disability, including but not limited to: Autism Spectrum Disorder, Alzheimer’s or Dementia, Bipolar Disorder and Down Syndrome. In accordance with HB 1275, adults with special needs may also enroll themselves or an adult family member by completing the application and providing one of the following supporting documents:

For persons with disabilities under the age of 18, HR 1275 requires in addition to the above, that proof of parentage, guardianship, or other legal authority be provided to local law enforcement at the time of registration of a minor or ward, which may include, but need not be limited to, proof of parentage or guardianship, as applicable:
