The City’s Parks & Grounds Division proudly cares for 17 public parks, together spanning over 300 acres of green space for our community to enjoy. These parks are home to 33 outdoor sports fields, covering 57 acres of professionally maintained Bermuda turf. Fields are available through the City’s permitting program and are carefully managed with routine maintenance and safety closures to keep them in top playing condition. Since 2009, the City has grown its inventory of sports turf by 15%, a reflection of our commitment to meeting the recreation needs of a growing community.
Beyond sports turf, our team plays a vital role in keeping parks and public spaces beautiful, safe, and welcoming. Responsibilities include:
Maintaining park and roadway irrigation systems that keep landscapes healthy.
Caring for park structures such as pavilions, shelters, and fencing.
Conducting regular playground inspections and repairs to ensure children’s safety.
Supporting the community by providing set-up and logistics for special events.
Overseeing dog park maintenance, ensuring safe, fun, and well-kept spaces for pets and their owners.
Delivering janitorial services for park restrooms, ensuring a clean and comfortable visitor experience.
Every day, the Parks & Grounds Division works behind the scenes to ensure that our parks remain a source of pride, recreation, and relaxation for residents and visitors alike.
