Your #CityofPBG’s parks and recreation facilities are getting upgrades. Over the next few weeks, crews will be working hard to repair and renovate some of our amenities. Here’s a look at what’s scheduled:
Burns Road Walking Trail is closing August 19 for renovations and landscaping work. The closure is expected to last about three weeks; a section of the trail will remain open for students who use it to walk to school.
The Nest Par 3 Golf Course is closed through August 22 for maintenance. The Sandhill Crane Golf Club and its restaurant, The Dancing Crane, will remain open for golfers.
Lilac Park’s small playground is closed for repairs. It reopens for play on Friday, August 22. The large playground, dog park and pickleball courts are still open for play.
The Gardens District Park splash pads will close August 19 through 20 for repainting. They reopen for play on Thursday, August 21.
The Russo Park basketball courts are closing August 19 through 21 for upgrades. City crews are installing new, adjustable backboards.
The Mirasol Park’s large basketball courts are closing August 21 – 26 while crews install new poles. The small basketball courts will be open for play over the weekend.
The Aquatic Complex is closing August 25 – 29 for annual maintenance. It reopens Labor Day Weekend. Check our Labor Day Operating Hours here.
