August City Council Meeting

Your Palm Beach Gardens City Council will meet on Thursday, August 3. A Council Workshop will take place at 5 p.m. to review Resident Opinion Survey results. The full agenda and survey report are available here. The City Council will have its regular meeting at 6 p.m. at City Hall (10500 N. Military Trail). 2023 Resident Photography Contest

The City of Palm Beach Gardens is pleased to announce the return of the Resident Photography Contest! Each contestant may submit up to two (2) photographs in each of the four (4) categories listed: iGardens, Beauty Abounds, Digital Manipulation, People & PBG. 

The deadline to submit photographs is September 1, 2023.To submit your photos online, visit the City website at www.pbgfl.com/photocontest. The winning photos will be announced at the Resident Photo Contest Reception on October 19, 2023 at 6 p.m. at City Hall (10500 N. Military Trail).

Florida Sales Tax holiday for back-to-school and disaster preparedness.

Take Advantage of Florida's Sales Tax Holidays

The State of Florida is helping families get ready for the first day of school and hurricane season this month. From July 24 through August 6, the state is holding its Back-to-School Sales Tax Holiday. During the holiday, you won’t pay tax on certain clothes, footwear, school supplies or learning aids. You can find more information about the tax holiday and eligible items here.

Later this month, Florida will also hold its second Disaster Preparedness Sales Tax Holiday of the year. From August 26 through September 8, you won’t pay tax on hurricane preparedness items like toilet paper, batteries, candles, and flashlights. For a full list of eligible items, click here.

Burns Road Community Center closing for construction.

A New and Improved Burns Road Community Center

The modernization and expansion of the place that is known as “the heart of Palm Beach Gardens” will be closed for construction beginning August 19, 2023. With hurricane season underway, it is important that you and your family are prepared in the case a storm invades your area. The City of Palm Beach Gardens has prepared a number of useful resources to educate its residents, as well as equip our staff in the event a hurricane forms.
